Electoral fusion
Not to be confused with Fusionism. This article needs additional citations for verification. Please help improve this article by adding citations to reliable sources. Unsourced material may be challenged and removed. (June 2010) Electoral fusion is an arrangement where two or more political parties on a ballot list the same candidate, pooling the votes for that candidate. Distinct from the process of electoral alliances in that the political parties remain separately listed on the ballot, the practice of electoral fusion in jurisdictions where it exists allows minor parties to influence election results and policy by offering to endorse or nominate a major party's candidate. Electoral fusion is also known as fusion voting, cross-endorsement, multiple party nomination, multi-party nomination, plural nomination, and ballot-freedom.[1][2] Contents 1 Brazil 2 Italy 3 United States 3.1 Milwaukee 3.2 New York 3.3 Oregon 3.4 Vermont 4 See also 5 Articles 6 References 7 Ext...
