    For many military veterans, the war doesn’t end when they return home — when despair and hopelessness often result in the ultimate casualty: suicide.National Suicide Prevention Week continues through Saturday, with the focus this year on suicides among veterans. According to the West Texas Veterans Affairs Health Care System, 20 percent of U.S. suicides annually occur among veterans.
